One of our recent launches, Micellar Water Lash Wash, is a fan-favorite not only for its immediate, effortless results, but also because it allows the rest of the products in your daily regimen to work harder. Read on to find out all about Micellar Water Lash Wash!

What is Micellar Water?

If you take a look at any French woman’s skincare routine, makeup artists kit or beauty bloggers must-haves, you’ll find they all have one thing in common: micellar water. Micellar water looks and feels like regular water, but it does so  much more. With just a few sprays or swipes of a cotton pad, micellar water can cleanse, tone, remove makeup residue and leave your skin feeling moisturized, all without the need to be washed off after.

How did Micellar Water Become A Thing?

Micellar water technology originated in France.  French women are synonymous with beauty, and French tap water is very hard, meaning it contains a high percentage of dissolved minerals such as magnesium and calcium which strip away critical moisture from the skin leaving it dry and irritated. The answer?  Micellar water.  For years, French women have been enjoying the beauty benefits of micellar water and it shows!

How Does Micellar Water Work?

Micellar water is made up of microscopic spheres called micelles suspended in soft water, which act like a magnet to draw out dirt and oil. They are able to remove makeup, sebum, oil and dirt, leaving behind clean, moisturized skin, lashes and brows. Not only does this make micellar water a great multitasker, it also means it’s perfect for travel or late nights where a proper face wash just isn’t going to happen.

The Importance of Lash & Brow Health

The not-so-glamorous truth about lashes and brows is that makeup and dirt often accumulate, attracting mites (yep – tiny, microscopic mites). Before freaking out, know that this is normal – to an extent. Lash and brow mites feed off sebum and oil and thrive when you forget to take your makeup off at night, which creates inflammation and irritation. To ensure all makeup, sebum, oil and dirt is thoroughly removed from the lash and brow area, we created Micellar Water Lash Wash. Not only does our lash wash keep lashes and brows (and skin) clean and healthy, it preps and primes so that your lash and brow serums do their job more efficiently. Basically, it’s a win-win!

What Else You Need to Know

Micellar Water Lash Wash is the perfect product to use along with eyelash extensions. Notoriously hard to clean, lash extensions are a prime place for mites to thrive. Because it’s oil-free, Micellar Water Lash Wash can be sprayed directly on the lashes, keeping both lashes and extensions clean without compromising their integrity.
